Raise
and release lions into their natural habitat when you
volunteer with our Lion Reintroduction Project in Zimbabwe.
In our Lion Reintroduction Project, you will be working on a
private game reserve in the Zimbabwe Midlands. As a volunteer
at the game reserve, you will be giving personal attention
to the lions and cubs that have been born on the reserve,
and eventually assisting in their release into the wild.
Volunteers on this project will play a vital role in raising
the lion cubs, including taking them on walks, playing
with them, and feeding them. You will also be involved
with caring for the older lions, including feeding, recording
health, and monitoring them in their natural habitat.
Also included in this project is the maintenance of the
game reserve. This involves patrolling the area for illegal
hunting snares and keeping the reserve clean. As a volunteer
with our Lion Reintroduction Project, you will play an important
role in preserving the ecosystem and the wildlife in Zimbabwe.

As a volunteer you will
be: Bottle-feeding,
walking, and observing young lion cubs Monitoring
health and hygiene of the lions Maintaining
animal enclosures Observing
wildlife and recording data Assisting
in boundary patrols of the reserve Helping
remove animal snares from the reserve

“The lion project
was amazing, unreal, out of this world, clearly not
enough good things to say about it...I fell in love
with Africa. It made me realize that back home I was
just following a trend of what people think they should
do with their life.” |

“Can you please
pass on to everyone what a wonderful time Georgia had
in Zimbabwe. It has been a life-changing experience
and the people she met in Zimbabwe obviously made the
experience even more special. I was a little concerned
before the trip, but you seem to have gotten the balance
of genuine adventure alongside common-sense safety just
right, and the things she learned have given her a new
perspective. I would thoroughly recommend it as a gap-year
experience. Many thanks.”
