As a volunteer on our Animal Rescue Project, you will be working on private land in Hwange National Park.

As a volunteer in on our Animal Rescue Project, you will be working on private land in Hwange National Park. You will be involved in assisting park rangers in releasing animals like zebras, elephants and cheetahs from illegal hunting snares. In addition to your work in wildlife rescue and poaching prevention, you will be helping specialized researchers study the habits of wild hyenas and lions. This research will be used to help rangers preserve the national park for the benefit of these diminishing wild species.

During your time on the reserve, you will be living side-by-side with the animals that roam through the camp, including elephants, zebras, and wild antelope. As a volunteer in Zimbabwe, you will be taking part in important research on how humans can help preserve the natural habitat of the local animal population.

As a volunteer you will be:
Helping rescue and release trapped and injured wild animals
Assisting specialists with animal research
Tracking lion and hyena feeding patterns
Performing game counts
Helping with national park maintenance
Learning how to use Global Positioning Systems to track animal groups
Learning about safari plants and animals
