Make
a direct impact on the lives of abandoned and neglected
children when you volunteer with our Child Care and AIDS Orphans Program
in Swaziland.
As a volunteer in our Child Care and AIDS Orphans Program, you will work
hands-on with orphaned and underprivileged children
in rural areas throughout the small, picturesque country
of Swaziland, which borders South Africa.
You will help provide basic care for street kids
and children from broken homes, working with local orphanages
and non-profits. These organizations offer shelter, medical
assistance, education and other types of care for the
thousands of displaced children in the country.
Volunteers with the Child Care and AIDS Orphans Program will work to
promote positive educational, social, and health-related
changes for rural children in various communities in
Swaziland. You will cultivate a friendly learning environment
through crafts, games and physical activities and help
ensure that children receive proper care and attention.
As
a volunteer you will help:
Provide
basic care for children, making sure they are fed, clothed
and receive medical care
Organize
activities with children to develop life skills
Teach
English and basic skills to children
Improve
shelter structures and build community gardens to develop
more food sources for children
Identify
needs of vulnerable children
