Help some of the world's most desperate children when you volunteer with our Youth Outreach Program in Peru.
Peru is one of the largest countries in South America. It’s also one of the poorest, with more than 50 percent of the population living in poverty. Many lack even the most basic needs, more than half are unemployed, and malnutrition is widespread. The situation is perhaps saddest for Peru’s poor children, more than a quarter of whom never receive an education and thus will likely remain in poverty for the rest of their lives.
As a volunteer with our Youth Outreach Program in Cusco, you will care for some of Peru’s most disadvantaged children. You can help take care of orphans or work at a day care center for poverty-stricken families. You can also work with handicapped children or with a group of abandoned street kids. Whatever you choose, you will offer hope to children who otherwise have little.
