Help build orphanages, schools, and homes in rural towns when you volunteer with our Build a Better Peru Program.
Peruvians are among the world’s poorest people, with more than 50 percent of families living below the poverty line and 25 percent living in extreme poverty. Although the country has experienced impressive economic growth in recent years, Peru’s neediest communities have been left behind. The picture is especially bleak in rural areas, which rarely receive government support.
As a volunteer with our Build a Better Peru Program, you will work in rural areas outside Cusco to repair or build orphanages, schools and homes. The work will be physically demanding. You will dig foundations, carry bricks, mix cement and paint walls. From the ground up, you will construct a better future for those who need it most. Your hard work will provide much-needed facilities for these Peruvians.
